Christmas Cakes

One of Mandy's hobbies is cake making and

at this time of year Christmas cakes are always

in demand, these are just a few of the ones

she has made.

Typical English dishes

Sunday dinner.

Toad in the Hole.

Mince pies.
The meal on the plate consists of 'Toad in the Hole' with potatoes,

carrots, sprouts and onion gravy.

The second is 'Toad in the Hole', this is sausages backed in a batter mix

known as 'Yorkshire Pudding'.

The third is mince pies, a sweet fruit mix as a filling in short crust

pastry. Sometimes eaten with brandy butter, especially at Christmas time.

Whittlesey town Christmas Fair.

Living out in the country we do get a variety of

wildlife from time to time.

This is the Cathedral and city centre in Peterborough,

about 12 miles (20 kilometres) from us.

As you can see the weather is lovely!!
